Ask yourself the following questions. Who
loves you? Who loves you most of all?
"And so we know and rely on the love of GOD has for us. GOD Is love. Whoever lives in love lives in GOD, and GOD in him." 1 John 4:16
Everybody seems to have a personal
opinion of what GOD must be like. Some
say HE is stern, others say HE
is angry, hard to get to know, impossible to relate to, striking terror in the
heart of man, etc. There are others who say HE
is so gentle and soft that HE is like a
lamb, completely without emotion or manhood.
The Bible is clear: GOD Is
Love. GOD loves you.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Everything GOD does HE does through eyes of love. GOD'S love is the filter HE uses to deal with mankind and the sins of the world. Don't blame GOD when bad things happen to you or someone you know. An 'Act of GOD' is not when horrific things happen to good people. An 'Act of GOD' is when blessings shower down from Heaven upon good people.
Knowing that GOD is love, it's time to praise, not blame, draw near to HIM, not pull away from HIM, speak thankfulness and gratitude out of your mouth, not curses to HIS Holy Name! When your back is up against a wall, when things appear to be far beyond hope as you know it, meditate on this -
Praise be to the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of compassion and the GOD of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from GOD. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
Now that you know that GOD Is Love, be sure to thank HIM for HIS love for you every day!
