En-courage-ment - The Power to be Courageous

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer (be encouraged*); I have overcome the world.

Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

I would bet that in everyone's heart there is a place that the enemy of our soul tries to take us and if possible, render us harmless to his kingdom.  That is the main point of his warfare against the LORD'S people.

It works like this . . .  paralyze the heart and you have won the battle.  Win enough battles and you win the war.

But we know he can't win, ultimately!  Yet in the mean time, it seems like the world is going to hell in a hand basket (American saying).  And, without us, it is and will!

Personal story coming . . .  Almost every day I have to take strong action against the attack against my own heart.  No, make that every day.  If I don't, I lose my Peace, and my Courage!

As you may know PraiseNation staff wages war on a daily basis against the darkness of this world.  Our media is the Internet.  We see it as the major harvest area in this present day and age.

We are reaching people in over 70 nations, we provide a way for people who have access to a computer to find hope and salvation.  Could this be what the struggle is all about?  I am sure it is part of it.

But, like you, I am just trying my best to do what the LORD wants me to do.  That in itself draws fire.  I am sure you experience to same.

So, what do we do?  We must arm ourselves with HIS full arsenal of defensive and offensive weaponry.  Let HIS Peace and Courage come in to our lives.  Live every moment by the Power of the HOLY GOD!

This is the only way to live.  To run would put us in the position to have more trouble.  We must realize that we are in a war, whether we like it or not.  It is time to "suit up" and fight the good fight!
