Blasphemy

Welcome to the Article the covers the subject of blasphemy.  While everyone sins, they do not always have someone in their life to hold them accountable and to be there for them when they need help.  The Followers of
JESUS need to always be ready to be part of the redemptive process for a fellow Believer.  This Article is also a great comfort to anyone who may believe they have blasphemed the HOLY SPIRIT.  Remember, the truth always out weights a persons 'feelings'.

GOD will give him life.
1 John 5:16

Everyone sins.  How long has it been since the last time you sinned anyway?  For me, it hasn't been all that long ago.  Not long after becoming a Follower of JESUS, I came across this Scripture:  "If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."  1 John I:9  This verse has been the foundation stone of my daily walk with the LORD and my lifeline with HIM.

A few years ago I met a man that told he that he never sinned.  That's right, he said that when he reached sanctification, he stopped sinning!  I hated to burst the bubble he was living in, but I told him; "That's one!"  J

The context of GOD will give him life.

"If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and GOD will give him life."   Now we see the FATHER'S heart of love and forgiveness, HE is the GOD of life.  One of the favorite activities of some Christians today is to throw away everyone who sins instead of praying for them to bring about repentance and restoration in that person's life.

One young man came to my office years ago and told me his story; "Last Sunday Morning I gave my heart to JESUS at an Alter-Call in a Church my friend took me to visit.  That night I was water baptized, Wednesday Night Service I was baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT.  My second Sunday Service I confessed to an Elder that I was having bad or sinful dreams.  I was immediately brought in front of the Congregation that morning and thrown out of the Church!"  What an eight day ride! J

I used to have to drive by a small, beautifully painted Church that had an exact number of seats and parking spaces.  It seems that the 'Church of the Firstborn' knew exactly how many people were allowed into Heaven.  Everything was planned out to the last person.  When 'one of the few' sinned, they were immediately removed from the Church and one of those on a waiting list were brought in to fill the seat and parking space!  One of the Elders told me; "There will be no empty seats in Heaven!"  J

GOD is willing to forgive you of your sins even if others are not!  The moment you receive JESUS as your Personal SAVIOUR, you are born again, and given Eternal Life.   John 3:1  You do not misplace your salvation like your car keys!  You don't wake up early in the morning born again and going to hell by late night.  If you are having trouble with your sin nature getting out of control, stop in your tracks now!  Make sure you are praying and following the instructions of 1 John 1:9 as stated in the first paragraph.  Don't hesitate to make an appointment with your Pastor or Biblical Counselor just as soon as possible, do it today!

Our Scripture ends with -

" I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that."

When it comes to sin that leads to death, the list is very small.  A few examples -

..
  1. King Saul consistently disobeying the Word of the LORD to him for his own purposes.
  2. A person who would blaspheme against the HOLY SPIRIT by giving satan the credit for GOD'S miracles and works of righteousness.
  3. And then there is Ananias and Sapphira in the 5th Chapter of Acts, who were caught in deliberate lies to the HOLY SPIRIT in order to make themselves look important before the Body.

If a person has entered such a lifestyle of sin it is obvious to everyone.  You are instructed not to pray for them.  I met a woman once who told me she was praying that satan would repent and get saved.  I did my very best to enroll her in my Bible College! J

I have never had a person guilty of blaspheming the HOLY SPIRIT who came to my Office saying they were nervous they had done so.  The very fact that they cared was proof that they were not guilty.  Let the LORD guide you as to who to pray for and how to pray for them.  Always remember, you are not your brother's judge.  Romans 14:4

Submit to the LORD and be a vessel of prayer and intercession and: GOD will give him life.
