"Don't you believe that I AM IN THE FATHER, and that THE FATHER IS IN ME?  The words I say to you are not just MY own.  Rather, it is the FATHER, LIVING IN ME, who is doing HIS work."
John 14:10

The disciples are confused about the relationship existing between JESUS and the FATHER.  JESUS tells them in verses 7-9, that since they know and see HIM they should know and see the FATHER as well. 

Now the words of JESUS in verse10 are absolutely shocking to HIS disciples!

I AM IN THE FATHER
THE FATHER IS IN ME

People are just as shocked today!  How is it possible for the SON and the FATHER to be inside of each other?

JESUS is explaining  that HE and the FATHER are ONE GOD with separate personalities.  As we begin reading Genesis, Chapter One to the end of Revelation, we see that the HOLY SPIRIT is also GOD.  Here's another shock:  the HOLY SPIRIT is - 

IN THE FATHER AND IN THE SON
THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT,
LIVE IN EACH OTHER AS ONE

This is the doctrine of the Trinity.  The word Trinity is not in the Bible, but this doctrine is one of the essential bricks to the Church's foundation.  To disbelieve the doctrine of the Trinity is to not know GOD personally.  Historically, every Church that alters or departs from the doctrine of the Trinity ultimately comes to ruin!

Now that you have had your Theological Lesson, J it is important that you are reminded of the following things: 

JESUS said it was the FATHER living in HIM that was doing HIS work.  Here is the news flash of your life - - - The FATHER living in you, does HIS work in and through you.  The work you find yourself doing for family, friends, even strangers, is actually the FATHER'S doing.
Matthew 25:40

You become HIS feet, hands and mouth, HE does the work.  Let the FATHER do HIS work through you.  Be quick to praise HIM and give HIM all the credit for every good thing HE is doing through you!
