GOD will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 2:25

In recent years large numbers of Christians have all but given up on the Church.  Attendance in many Denominations has reached record lows.  Have people stopped loving GOD?  Have people stopped needing and wanting fellowship?  Not at all!  

Followers of JESUS band together to praise, worship, study GOD'S Word and fellowship with one another in obedience to the Scripture.

"All the believers were together and had everything in common."  Acts 2:44  

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts."  Acts 2:46  

When fellowship and unity are broken for any reason, people start looking for the exit signs.  It seems that unhappy people love to clone themselves, always looking for converts causing a great deal of upheaval among the Body.

Ever wonder what causes some large Congregations to seemingly evaporate?  Often, one of the main reasons happens to be the presence of foolish and stupid arguments.  The Scripture is clear; 'arguments in GOD'S Church are condemned.'

"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels."
2 Timothy 2:23

"But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."  Titus 3:9  

When arguments begin in the Church, the Pastor has specific instructions:  2 Timothy 2:23-26

1. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments.
2. Must not quarrel.
3. Must be kind to everyone.
4. Must be able to teach.
5. Must not be resentful.
6. Must gently instruct those who oppose him.

Ultimately, the LORD'S will is to grant those promoting dissention the gift of repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth.  The LORD is always working in HIS people's behalf to bring us all into freedom!

If you find yourself in the middle of a foolish argument among the brethren today, take a step back now!  The important point is not who started 'what', but to bring about an immediate end to this ungodly activity.  The only cause the LORD is promoting is HIS.  JESUS desires to restore the fellowship and unity among HIS people today!

Don't quit or give up on HIS Church.

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching."  Hebrews 10:25
