Gentiles in this case means unbelievers.  Today, that term refers to those who consider themselves atheists, humanists, pagans, etc.  You may know some. You may have been one.

But now you are not.  Remember what a slanted way of thinking you had BC (Before CHRIST)?  I am amazed at myself as I occasionally recall a way of thinking I displayed before I met the LORD.

Not that all my thinking is perfect, now, but it is . . . Well, it is

DIFFERENT!

I think differently because there is a living spirit in me and it is indwelled by the HOLY LIVING SPIRIT!  And HE is able to correct my thinking!

I don’t always listen.  Sometimes I grieve HIM.  Sometimes you do too.  But we are getting better at listening and following HIS lead!  And that makes HIM happy!

HE is happy because HE knows we will follow HIM to a better way of living.  We are no longer heading down the dark path of ignorance, but to HIS Marvelous Light!
