One!  Not the loneliest number.  The number one is perfect.  It is like looking at a row of ducks from the side and seeing them all lined up!  One row of ducks!

The Church is not one.  Sorry.  It is not!  It is not like its FATHER in that case.  We are not one.

We are so many that it is hard to see the ducks, much less the line!  In fact, there is no line . .

Immersion—sprinkling, wine - grape juice, tongues—no tongues, instruments—no instruments, dresses only—slacks and shorts, quiet in church—loud in church, hymns only—praise music, on and on and on.

And these are not even doctrinal differences for the most part.  There is another side to the visible church, where disagreements of all varieties pop up.  So we are a divided church, at least from the outward appearance.

What shall we do?!

Well, there is a simple solution.  Although we will never agree on everything, we should be able to agree on one major point.

And that is that JESUS is the Only Way of salvation.  How we all work that out is going to be different (somewhat) and that is just the way it will be!  But on a one to one basis we must be one!  One to One equals One!  New math.  Better hope we can meet JESUS one day with one-ness being our testimony!
