Hear the Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments
(From Exodus 20:1-17 - New Living Translation)

1 "Do not worship any other gods besides ME."
2 "Do not make idols of any kind"
3 "Do not misuse the name of the LORD your GOD. "
4 "Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy"
5 "Honor your father and mother"
6 "Do not murder"
7 "Do not commit adultery"
8 "Do not steal"
9 "Do not testify falsely against your neighbor"

10 "Do not covet"

Why is there so much controversy concerning the
Ten Commandments?  In America, judges and other civic officials are getting in trouble for having them in their offices.  Monuments are being removed forcibly from public places.

It is as though there is an organized battle to wipe out all traces of the Commandments.  Interesting.  The truth is that there is a battle.  How do you think the enemy of our souls feels about the Ten Commandments?

I will answer that.  He hates them.  He does not now, and never did live by them.  He was removed from his place of service in the Heavens because of his disregard for them.  His final home in the Lake of Fire is the result of ignoring them

So there is the battle.  The enemy is also called (in Scripture) the god of this world.  Look at the first commandment.  Ouch!  He is in big trouble.

So there is a battle.  Who's side are you on?  Would you like to water down the Commandments?  That is the wrong side to be on.  Do you ignore the Commandments?  Still the wrong side!

Take time over the next few weeks to saturate yourself in them!  That is the right side!  That is where JESUS is!  Let's be sure that we are on the same side with JESUS!
